Almost 70% of Employees Deal With Some Type of Financial Stress In Their Lives And It Impacts Your Bottom Line
- Financial stress is highly correlated with poor money management skills. At least 70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. Citing less than $1,000 in their savings account, 62% are one step away from a financial downfall.
- Poor financial health is associated with poor physical health. The stress employees experience from high debt levels can result in addictive behaviors, weight gain, depression, anxiety, and sleep problems.
- Employees who are eligible to retire but are not ready due to inadequate savings, cost employers more in compensation and benefits. Just 22% of workers are very confident they will have enough money in retirement.
When employees are stressed and distracted by their financial situation,
it affects your bottom line.
- Decreased productivity
- Dealing with personal money matters while on the job (often 20 hours or more per month)
- Increased number of sick days and disability claims
- Reduced utilization of benefits
- Increased withdrawals against 401ks
- Lower 401k contributions
- Requests for payday advances

Employees enjoy our innovative, interactive financial wellness programs that decrease financial stress, increase financial well-being, and drive behavior change. Topics include everything from basic money management to advanced topics like estate planning.
We only provide unbiased financial education and do not sell any investment or insurance products.
Creating a financial wellness program is a win-win decision – when your employees benefit, so does your company. Higher productivity, contagious engagement, long-term retention, higher morale, and more are worth the investment in your business.
“Although we are a financial institution, many of our employees are no more educated than the average American when it comes to their own finances. One question employees repeatedly ask is, ‘How am I supposed to continue saving for retirement when I am hardly able to pay my current bills?’ Your program provided solutions.
It also stands to reason that an educated and secure employee will find it easier to focus, and will be more likely to produce better results on the job. Giving our employees access to your program proved to be a positive first step in that direction.”

“Our participants learned a lot from you and we had a lot of fun each week! This topic is so important to individuals’ overall well-being, so I am glad the 4-part series was a success. I appreciate everything you had to offer and have had many thanks from Wellness Warriors for offering this type of topic.”

I’m Finally Losing Weight… and Putting Money Away!
I lost almost 30 pounds last year! You may think, what does that have to do with managing my money? Bear with me.
Once I gained confidence through getting my weight under control, I felt more prepared to tackle our family finances. For example, tea is a whole lot healthier and cheaper than soda! I also drastically cut back on eating out. Although I did it for my weight, I couldn’t help but notice how much better it is for my bank account too.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, I broke down and finally created a REAL monthly budget…MAN, was that an eye-opener… frittering a lot of cash away on eating out when we could be cooking at home for much less, etc. I had to take a hard look at my “Shopping Hobby” too. But the crazy thing is, I’ve kind of made a game out of seeing how much I can cut and where.
For example, I got over my abject fear of coloring my own hair and touched my own roots instead of going to the salon. That’s huge for me… Don’t even get me started on hair! Savings: $125! Ching! …
The things I learned from your seminar and from my weight loss journey have really helped me take control of an area where I was not putting in my best effort. Thanks again!”

“[Now that I’ve gone through Robin’s program] when I’m thinking of ordering something or spending something, I literally see Robin in my brain and I stop. But the biggest change is, I used to go to the ATM and take $100, $200 because I can. It’s mindless and ridiculous… [Now] I literally take out just $20 [and protect the rest.] I’m so happy!”

“It was marvelous—we got so much out of the sessions. We have learned to get back on track with our financial planning, with our goal setting, saving for the future. Fabulous … the materials were just great. We loved her [Robin], we want her back!”

“[After Robin’s program] our employees here are so much more aware of their finances and how to prepare for their future. The younger employees are participating in the 401k program, which they haven’t in the past. And for myself personally… [after a year] I’ve paid off so much more of my debt, and have started paying myself first.”

“We have been looking for a way to provide employees with a valuable program that will assist them in meeting financial goals. We decided to host the Increasing Your Cash Flow program. The response from participating employees has been exceptional! Employees have a new resolve to “pay themselves first” and take control over their finances. I would definitely recommend this program to other employers—it would be a good fit for any level of employee, the information is highly relevant, and the methods and skills taught actually work.”

“Our workforce was concerned about having enough for retirement, getting out of debt, and saving before encountering the services of Budget Wise Consulting. Well, I’ve had 3 employees enroll in the 401k since our meeting 2 days ago. I’ve also heard various conversations of employees who sat down and reviewed their finances. One employee realized between groceries and eating out, her family of 4 was spending over $1100 per month; this was eye opening to her and she has vowed to bring her lunch to work! You are a creditable source, you know your stuff!”

“I already have plans on how much I am going to SAVE or Pay myself first. I am excited about it. YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH YOU CHANGED MY LIFE! You saved me from being a “bag lady” in my old age.”

“The workshop let me know I have a bit of work to do regarding management of the funds I do have. I need a bit of a change in mindset. I was uncertain how to get a handle on the aspect of cash flow… I now have a much better idea. I have attended previous financial workshops; but this one was conducted in language I could understand.”

“The tools helped me identify why I’ve experienced stress at certain times when I could have planned ahead to eliminate the stress. Robin made the topic simple enough for people to understand who had no financial background.”

“I always considered myself to be a conservative spender until I took Robin’s course and tracked my daily spending habits. I was shocked to see how much money I spent on inconsequential things. I now think twice before spending and use more cash rather than the runaway debit card. My bank account is much healthier thanks to Robin!”
